Search the data only specific to a Library or List in SharePoint 2010
Steps:
Create a search scope for the List or library
Create a separate Display Group
Add the Search Scope to the newly created Displaygroup
In the Search Box web Part Properties, Choose the the dropdown mode from Scopes Drop down as
"Show,do not include contextual scopes "
From Miscellaneous drill down option, enter the Scope Display group " Newly created Display groupName"
That's it. Now you are able to search the data only from the specific Library / List.
